Trustee Recruitment

The Bureau is in the process of recruiting Trustees to the Trustee Board. The role of a Trustee is a very responsible position. The Trustee Board has overall responsibility for the governance of the organization and developing policy. Torridge, North Devon, Mid Devon and Bude Citizens Advice Bureau is a registered charity and also an incorporated private limited company. Trustees are directors. The Trustee Board needs to have a strong skill set and diversity. The Trustee Board needs skills in human resources, public relations, media, fundraising, information technology, knowledge of the local community and a good awareness of financial matters. It is also important for Trustees to be able to make impartial judgments, think strategically and disagree sometimes! Plus of course time, Trustees need time to commit to what is a demanding but very satisfying and challenging voluntary role.
